5000 couples join global Blessing ceremony promoting peace through marriage

5000 Couples Participate in “Marriage Blessing Ceremony” in South Korea

Aiming to achieve world peace through marriages that transcend racial, religious, and national boundaries, the “2025 Hyojeong Cosmic Blessing Ceremony Officiated by the True Parents of Heaven, Earth, and Humankind” [See editor’s note below] was held on 12^th April at the Cheongshim Peace World Center in Gapyeong County, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. According to the organizers, 5,000 couples from 90 countries participated. About 30,000 people – also according to organizers – gathered at the venue, and the ceremony was broadcast worldwide via internet streaming and other media.

The Blessing Ceremony was officiated by Hak Ja Han, wife of the late Reverend Sun Myung Moon and President of the Universal Peace Federation (UPF). During the ceremony, participants took part in a “Holy Marriage Blessing Vow” to pledge the building of ideal families, exchanged rings, and were declared by Han to be “Sacredly married before the cosmos,” prompting applause and blessings from the crowd.

A Japanese couple who participated said with smiles,

“It’s truly a blessing to marry someone who shares the same beliefs and values” (the man),
and “We want to build an ideal family together while enjoying life” (the woman).

A Japanese woman who married an American man said happily,

“God brought me together with someone wonderful whom I never would have met were it not for the Blessing.”

Prior to this, the “65th Anniversary Ceremony of the Cosmic Holy Wedding of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth, and Humankind”, celebrating the 65th anniversary of the wedding of Reverend Moon and President Han, was also held. Attendees included Pastor Paula White, head of the U.S. Trump administration’s new Faith Office, and Newt Gingrich, the 50th Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.

[Editor’s note: “The True Parents of Heaven, Earth, and Humankind” refers to the sacred union (oneness) of our Heavenly Parent (God) and the True Parents.]
