Part 1 of message from Rev. Demian Dunkley, president of the Family Federation of North America, transcribed from a video that is part of a series of lectures titled “Discourse on True Mother‘s Revelations” posted on the education site of the Family Federation of the USA February 2025

Okay, let’s dive into part two – “God‘s Original Dream – The Principles of Creation and God‘s plan to become the True Parent of humankind”

We’re going to cover a few more of the principles from the Principles of Creation that I think are essential to help us all understand what Mother is saying. Let’s start with Mother‘s words. She said,

“God, our Creator, has a dream.”

Originally, the Creator wanted to become the True Parent of humankind. And Heavenly Parent created all things in heaven and on earth.

True Mother starts many of her speeches here, starting right there: What is God‘s dream?

I imagine that Mother starts every day and ends every day, starts every waking minute of her life resonating, thinking about God‘s dream and feeling desperate to realize that dream – feeling desperate to remove the obstacles, to diminish the gaps between where we are today and realizing that dream.

She starts every speech almost, touching upon God‘s dream.

First, let’s work backwards. In order to give birth to His children, God first created an environment for His children to live. That means the substantial universe was created for the purpose of human life. Think about that.

God wanted to give birth to humanity. But in order to give birth to humanity, He needed a world. In order to create that world, He needed all of creation. In order to make all of creation, He needed to create centered on a law or a principle, right?

Before He could create the universe, God created the principles of creation. And it is through these principles that everything would be created and maintained. And these are the principles that govern all things.

Before these principles were created, there’s just God.

But now let’s look at it in another way. God is a spiritual being, a harmonious being with both male and female qualities.

But he longed to be a Parent. That is God‘s dream, to be a Parent, to have children and to live with His children in a beautiful world. He longed to have children, therefore, with whom He could relate. He dreamed of becoming a True Parent of substance, not just spiritual, but physical as well.

In order for God to become a Parent, God needs children. But not just any children. God needs children that truly resemble God‘s nature. Okay?

In order to resemble God‘s nature, we need to grow our divine nature, our godly nature. Wouldn’t you agree?

You might have a very handsome 25-year-old man who looks like he was chiseled by Michelangelo himself. But if that man has a heart of selfishness, of greed, of evil of any kind, you can’t say that that is a representative of God, or that he is carrying the characteristics of God‘s nature. Can you? You couldn’t really call that person a son that resembles his Father.

In order for us to resemble our godly nature, we need to grow according to the same principles of creation that govern all things. Let’s look at some of these basic principles.

Spirit and body

Every human being is both physical and spiritual. I think most of us agree, right? Every being is both physical and spiritual.

3 stages

And we can see that there are three stages of life. There’s life in the womb, life on earth, and eternal life in the spirit world.

We do not live forever in substance, but we do live forever in spirit. Our earthly life is finite and very important. Our eternal life is infinite, but our physical life is finite.

And it’s during that time that we need to grow our divine nature, which is our eternal spirit, to live in the spirit world forever.

Growth

Just as a nine-month-old baby has had time in the womb to physically develop all of the characteristics to live a healthy life on the planet, on earth, our spirit lives within us during our time on earth and is growing within us to arrive at a level of maturity that can live in joy and happiness in the eternal physical world. Right? Doesn’t that make sense?

Just as it takes time for the physical body to grow, it takes time for the spiritual body to grow. It is the same for both men and women, by the way.

Whereas our physical bodies grow autonomously with food and air and rest, our spiritual bodies require actions in accordance with God‘s heart and will.

In order to become godly people, we need to make godly choices. Isn’t that fair?

That means we have a responsibility that is different from all other things in creation. We’re not just created beings that become great just because our software made us that way.

We’re actually growing our relationship with God. And as we grow our relationship with God, we are growing our spirit. We’re growing our relationship with God in a parent-child-relationship. That’s our original nature – children of God.

It’s a very special and unique blessing that we have been given, that human beings have been given above all other beings in the universe.

Spiritual growth

Some people think that perhaps angels are higher, or really fast-running animals are higher or of greater importance. But look, this isn’t about looking down on anything in creation. In fact, it is our role as godly children to love all things and honor all things in creation. But we are to do so having matured the characteristics of our Parent, our Heavenly Parent, God.

Both the men in the world and the women in the world have a responsibility to grow not only our physical bodies and take care of our physical health. But we have a responsibility and blessing to grow our spiritual bodies and take care of our spiritual health so that we can become truly spiritual and physical beings that resemble God‘s character.
