Our Heavenly Parent’s dream: We need to fulfil our key role, divine responsibility in order for God’s vision to be realized

Part 5 of message from Rev. Demian Dunkley, president of the Family Federation of North America, transcribed from video 2 in a series of lectures titled “Discourse on True Mother‘s Revelations”, posted on the education site of the Family Federation of the USA February 2025.

[…] I feel the spirit of God resonating around such a simple concept as this that we, in fulfilling our responsibility to become heavenly children are actually co-responsible for creating God‘s experience in many, many ways.
But also that the first True Parents, the first who establish the True Parents, would be the ones who in a sense create God‘s status not as God, not as Creator, but as Heavenly Parent, both Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother – Heavenly Parent. Isn’t that amazing?
In order for God to become a Parent, He needed children that resemble his nature and purpose. And because God is both masculine and feminine in nature, God made us in his image, both male and female.
We, we do not fully resemble God‘s nature until we mature and perfect our spiritual character. Spiritual maturity requires time, but it also requires godly choices.
A time period is given for us so that we can grow internally and externally to resemble God. Then we would be able to form a godly family and expand God’s lineage. On this foundation, together with God, humanity is destined to co-create a beautiful, beautiful world.

This was the dream that God set out to accomplish through our first human ancestors. This was the dream that God set out to accomplish with our first human ancestors. And just imagine for a moment what that experience would be, what God longs for, right?
What God longs for is to be Parent of substance. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have made children of substance. God longs for those children of substance becoming in God‘s likeness, and that God is resonating with them.
We always look at that, though, from the point of view of our experience, “Oh, I feel God in me!” Or, “I feel some resonance with God!”
Look guys, it’s like athletes, elite athletes, when they’re in the zone. There’s some kind of zone they get into. I believe that essential resonance, that kind of feeling of being in complete oneness with your purpose and goal, in that moment with the ball or whatever you’re doing, that’s very similar, I feel, to this sense of being one with God in that moment.
But imagine in every moment, not just focused in some blind sense on what you’re trying to do, but in oneness with God and feeling God and being grateful to God and “Thank you, God!” Right?
And so we think of this part many times. Maybe we might pray to feel it, we might meditate to feel it, we might fast to feel it. We might do something that really gets us out of our cobweb thoughts to feel it and just open up to feel God.
But what does God feel? This is the question, what does God feel? And Mother has recently spoken about this in very simple terms, right?

And when it comes to this incredible entrance ceremony of the Cheonwon Temple and what this means to humanity, what it means to history, what it means to the world, bringing God back home so that now we can attend God in substance, what is that?
Is it just so that we are coming in some prostate manner, bowing before God and trying to feel God‘s energy so that we can walk away and say, “Oh, I had a great experience with God!”?
No, that’s just one small part of it. What Mother is saying is that God is longing to experience that with us. God is longing to experience that through us. God is longing to experience all things that He created in substance through us.
If you really understand this point, then you should reflect on it. Because if we’ve been living in a world for 6,000 Biblical years – of course, many more if you look at it scientifically – if we’ve been living for the entire history of humankind on this planet in a fallen state, without any True Parents established, without a Son or a Daughter coming together and establishing that foundation, then there’s no God‘s family. There’s no godly family in substance, and there’s no godly children in substance. There’s no godly lineage or village or town of God‘s substance, right?
