Living the 3 Blessings: a divine calling – God’s design for fulfillment and happiness

Part 2 of message from Rev. Demian Dunkley, president of the Family Federation of North America, transcribed from a video that is part of a series of lectures titled “Discourse on True Mother‘s Revelations” posted on the education site of the Family Federation of the USA February 2025

Let’s look at scripture. In Genesis, we can see that when God speaks to his children, he blesses them, saying,

“Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish in the sea, and over all the birds in the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.” (Genesis 1;28)

Wow. This is known as the three blessings, three commandments, three great blessings.

And it shows God‘s love and desire for us human beings. Let’s unpack it.

These three blessings correspond to three major areas in our life.

● Our personal character, which is rooted in our relationship with God.

● Our relationships with others, which is first rooted in our own loving family relationships.

● Our relationship with the world, which has been given to us to both enjoy and take care of.

The fulfillment of those three great blessings is the fulfillment of these three things. This is the ideal, this is the dream. This is the blueprint of the dream, right?

God imagined us to be both physically and spiritually mature and beautiful.

God has blessed us to join in marriage and form beautiful couples, both physically and spiritually intertwined in joyful, harmonious relationships. And from there to multiply an awesome, beautiful family that represents God‘s family.

And as such, we have been given the blessing to steward the world, to enjoy the world, to love the world, to subdue it with love, to understand all of the intricate laws that God has manifested in everything.

And then to be able to govern over those things for the benefit of humanity, for the benefit of the world, for the benefit of God. Because God wants to enjoy all those things through us.

Through these three major areas of our experience, we learn to develop our own unique heart, mind, and will. Because God designed us with this purpose.

We’re not going to feel entirely fulfilled without experiencing these fundamental blessings. That’s why you’re never going to be happy if we don’t have a relationship with God. And we’re never going to be happy if we don’t form a family. And we’re never going to be happy unless we figure out how to live in a harmonious relationship with the planet, right?

Maturity means consistency in word and deed, autonomy, self-management, and my true identity as God‘s son or daughter.

And multiply means loving and investing in others. Of course, eventually with your spouse and with your children, developing a parental heart like God.

But we’re able to relate with any human being of any age on the planet in a harmonious and loving and respectful relationship. That’s the essence of horizontal relationships.

And actually, in these first two, you see that which Jesus simplified all the laws above all others, everything hangs on these two things.

Love life, love God, and love your brother, Love humanity, love God and love one another.

And ultimately, as an extension of these two primary axes of love, engagement, growth, development, experience and joy, centering on these two things, everything is set for us to be able to steward lovingly over this incredible planet that God has given us.

This includes creativity, ingenuity and managing the environment, creating creative purpose and results, right?

In practical terms, this is what you study for, this is what you exercise for, this is what you train your body for, train your brain for, train and learn all of the skill sets that you uniquely feel called to develop.

Beyond the basic skills, what are the unique things that you feel excited to develop? What are the unique things that you want to do?

This is your blessing. From the beginning of humankind, this has been our blessing. But because of fallen history, because of the fall, we fell into such dark corners of reality that we created.

These weren’t dark corners that God created. We created these things. And, and God‘s been longing to bring us back to this blessing. And this is where we’re at, right?

In order to achieve the foundation for these three things, God needed to secure first his children, his representatives, that would mature their divine character and build the first family of God’s lineage.

And all of this would have been just a natural evolution of humanity, development of humanity. So how would God do this? This would be God‘s blueprint.
