The symbol of Unification Church
The symbol of Unification Church has a special meaning. It is usually red on white background. Red is the color of love; white symbolizes heavenly purity.
The central point represents the Kingdom of Heaven. According to the Bible, there are 12 gates into Heaven. Those are symbolized by the 12 arrows leading into the center. These arrows also represent different types of people, who come by different paths to the Kingdom of Heaven.
The four main arrows represent the four directions north, south, east and west.
It can also be said that love, truth, life and light emanate in four and twelve directions from the center, the Kingdom of Heaven, where God resides. Twelve indicates the twelve basic types of human character.
The two semicircular arrows represent yin and yang, man and woman, God and man, heaven and earth. The two arrows form a whole, or a circle without beginning and end. Such a circle is a symbol of eternity and perfection.
